Murl Lee Frazier, 92, of Charlestown, IN, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Lincoln Hills Healthcare in New Albany, IN.
He was born on March 21, 1924 to Henry and Pearl (Boggs) Frazier in Cumberland, KY. He was an Army Veteran of WWII, a retired heavy equipment operator for E.I. Dupont, member of the First Baptist Church in Charlestown, Blazing Star Masonic Lodge #226, O.E.S. Lodge #597, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, IN, and was a past Grand Patron of Indiana from 1989-1990. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nina Gabbard Frazier; sisters, Dixie Dallas, and Dana Combs; brother, Sol Frazier.
Survivors include his sister, Bobbie Jean Hawkins of Charlestown, IN; Brother, Odell Frazier (Norma) of New Johnsonville, TN; sister-in-law, Frances Frazier of New Albany, IN.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at 11am at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, with burial to follow in the Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Monday from 4 pm to 8 pm and after 9 am on Tuesday. Eastern Star services will be held on Monday at 6:30 pm, and Masonic Services will be held at 7:00 pm. Military services provided by the American Legion Post 335 and VFW Post 1427.
